Playground Music and Books is dedicated to providing quality resources for the K-8 general music educator, and promoting well-crafted instructional materials designed for the 21st century music classroom with the intent of giving students a rich and meaningful learning experience. All products are field-tested for effectiveness and grade-level appropriateness, correlate to the National Music Standards (NAfME), and are aligned with current instructional trends.

Meet The Composer
Jeff Henson is a certified K-12 music educator who teaches elementary music in Odessa, Florida and has been a public school music educator since 1998. He holds a B.A. degree in music from the University of South Florida and a Masters level certification in Orff-Schulwerk under the instruction of Jane Frazee. Jeff is an active member of the American Orff-Sculwerk Association (AOSA) and The Greater Tampa Bay Area Orff Chapter (GTAOC). He has been five-time director of the Honors Orff Ensemble for the Hillsborough County Elementary Fine Arts Festival and has also served as guest conductor for the honors Orff ensembles and choirs in Pasco County, Florida. Mr. Henson conducts workshops on the use of Orff instruments in the music classroom, is a professional percussionist and freelance performer, and composes original works for Orff ensembles and arranges folk/pop/jazz music for Orff instruments.
Jeff's arrangements are creative and crowd-pleasing, while still being pedagogically appropriate for upper-elementary and middle school aged Orff ensembles. - Jodie Donahoo, Music Teacher
